You can publish data from tables, calculations, Presenter reports, and web forms from Varicent Incentives to another application, such as Microsoft Excel.
You can schedule the following publications to run at predefined times in the Scheduler module:
Tables in the Composer module that are published to Excel, PDF file, Salesforce.com, or text delimited files.
Calculations in the Composer module that are published to Excel, PDF file, Salesforce.com, or text delimited files.
Presenter reports published to PDF files, for example, batch exported PDF files for each payee or exported PDF files for a selected payee.
Web forms that are published to PDF files, for example, batch exported PDF files for each payee or exported PDF files for a selected payee.
You can also cancel a running publication.
Publishing tables
You can publish data from tables in Varicent Incentives directly to a Microsoft Excel file, a PDF file, Salesforce.com table, or a text file.
Publishing tables to Microsoft Excel
You can publish data from tables in Varicent Incentives directly to Microsoft Excel files.
In the Composer module, click the table you want to publish as an Excel file.
Click Show More → Publish.
Choose one of the following options:

One Time Publication
Publish the file only once. If you choose this option, you can save the publication to your local computer.
Saved Publication
Saves the file to the server. If you choose this option, you can name and save the publication to run at a later day through the Scheduler module.
Select Microsoft Excel as the destination for the published table.
Click Next.
In the Name field, type the title of the published file.
If you chose to save the publication, in the Prefix field, type any text that you want to add to the file name of the saved publication.
Click Save.
Format the headers.
Click the Cells tab.
Format the cells.
Click Next.
Select one of these locations:
Download publication to a local machine.
This option is only available if you selected One Time Publication in step 4.
Upload publication to server.
In the Publication Path field, you can type the name of a subfolder in the
Publication
directory to which you want to save the publication.
If you are saving the publication, click Next and you can clear the Run this publish now checkbox if you want to save the publication and run it later.
Click Done.

Publishing tables to PDF files
You can publish data from your Varicent Incentives model directly to a PDF file.
In the Composer module, click the table you want to publish as a PDF file.
Click Show More → Publish.
Choose one of the following options:

Select the Show total page number checkbox to show the total number of pages in the document along with the current page number.
Click Next.
Select one of these locations:
Download publication to a local machine.
This option is only available if you selected One Time Publication in step 4.

You can publish data from your Varicent Incentives model directly to a text file.
In the Composer module, click the table you want to publish as a text file.
Click Show More → Publish.

Publishing tables to Salesforce.com
You can publish data from your Varicent Incentives model directly to a Salesforce.com table.
In Salesforce.com, perform the following steps:
Select the Setup link.
Click App Setup section.
→ from theSelect New Custom Object, and add the object according to your specifications.
In the Composer module, click the table you want to publish to Salesforce.com.
Click Show More → Publish.
Choose one of the following options:

Select Salesforce.com as the destination for the published table and click Next.

Type your user name, password, and security token, then click Connect.
Click Next.
Select the Salesforce.com table to export the data to.
Click Next.
Map the Composer table columns to the Salesforce.com table columns.
Click Done.
Publishing calculations
You can publish data from calculations in Varicent Incentives directly to an Excel file, a PDF file, Salesforce.com table, or a text file.

You can publish calculation data from your Varicent Incentives model directly to an Excel file.
In the Composer module, click the calculation you want to publish as an Excel file.

Publishing calculations to Salesforce.com
You can publish calculation data from your Varicent Incentives model directly to Salesforce.com.
In Salesforce.com, perform the following steps:

Publishing Presenter reports
You can publish Presenter reports from Varicent Incentives as PDF files. Before you publish a Presenter report, make sure that you selected the appropriate PDF options and preferences.
Selecting publishing preferences for Presenter reports
When you are ready to publish your Presenter report in Varicent Incentives, you can specify your publishing preferences.
Options that you select in the Preferences window are displayed in the Preview tab.
In Presenter, click the Preferences icon.
In the Font section, you can set the default font for the report.
Select the Accessible by report list checkbox to make a report accessible from the available report menu in the Sales Portal.
Select the Allow PDF export checkbox so that web users can generate PDF files of the Presenter report from the Sales Portal. If the report has a payee list, the web user can publish reports for each payee to a PDF file.
You can select a color for the background of the Presenter report from the Color menu.
Click Choose Image to select an image to display on the background of your Presenter report.
To edit an image, complete the following steps:
Click Remove Image to delete the image from the Presenter report.
From the Image Tile drop-down list, select how the image repeats: Vertically, Horizontally, Both, or None.
From the Image Scroll drop-down list, select Scroll to have the image move when the user scrolls down the report, or Fixed to have the image remain in the same position.
From the Image Position drop-down list, select Absolute to set the image location on the X and Y axes in pixels, or select Percent to set the image location by percentage.
Click Save.
By default, fonts are packaged in the file when you publish to PDF. This setting ensures fonts render correctly on any user's computer. Disable this setting only if file size is an issue and you don't use unicode fonts.

Publishing Presenter reports
In Incentives, you can generate a Presenter report as a PDF file for specific payees. You can then save the PDF file to your computer or server.
In the Composer module, open the Presenter report you want to publish.
From the toolbar, click Publish.
Choose one of the following options:

Saved Publication
Saves the publication. If you choose this option, you can name and save the publication to run at a later day through the Scheduler module.
Click Next.
Type a name for the published report.
You can also define a prefix for the file name of each PDF file. By default, when you publish reports, the file name consists of the report name and payee ID.
From the Portal Access Group drop-down list, select the group for which you want to generate reports.
A report is created for each member in the Portal Access group.
If your Presenter report has parameters, select a value for each parameter from the drop-down list and then click Next.
Set the options for the PDF file. Click Next when you are done.

Select this checkbox to display an image as the header on each PDF file and choose the image file. If you want to use a header image, the image must be in the Saved Published Image Directory that is specified in the service configuration file.

Select this checkbox to show page numbers in the footer.
Show total page number
Select this checkbox to show the total number of pages in the document along with the current page number.
All statements in one PDF file
Select this checkbox to publish all the reports for each member of the selected Portal Access group in one PDF file. If you want to publish a separate PDF file for each member of the selected Portal Access group, do not select this option.
If you are saving the publication, you can select options for the email sent with it. Click Next when you are done.

Email each payee their individual report
Select this option to email each payee in the Portal Access group their own report.
Customize emails sent
Select this option to set your own subject line and body in the email.
Tip
You can also change the sender address by going to the Publish Presenter Report Sender Mail Address field.

Publishing web forms
In Varicent Incentives, you can publish a web form as a PDF file.
In the Composer module, open the web form you want to publish.
In the toolbar, click Export.
Choose one of the following options:
