Scheduler error notification
In Varicent Incentives, if there is an error when the Scheduler module runs items, you'll be notified if any items aren't able to run.
If an item runs successfully, a green "Success" message is displayed in the Last run status column. The Last run column records the last successful and error-free completion of each task. If an additional run is recorded, it is displayed in the Additional run column.
If an item doesn't run, the following actions occur:
A message instructs you to see the Audit page for more information.
A red "Failed" message is displayed under the Last run status column.
No time is displayed in the Last run column of the Scheduler module.
The Audit page captures all Scheduler activity.
When a scheduled item doesn't run, the scheduled task is skipped. The Scheduler module will try to run the task item at the next scheduled interval.
If the first item in a process doesn't run, by default, the Scheduler module will try to run the remaining items in the process.
If you don't want the Scheduler module to try to run the remaining items in the process after a task fails, set the Stop Process on Errors value.
To prevent problems that might be associated with a lost import, you can configure the Scheduler module to send an email to an individual or distribution list about the error. You can also configure the Scheduler module to send an email notification upon successful completion. The email message is sent to the address set in the Scheduler properties window.
