Running tasks

Running a schedule runs all tasks within that schedule; however, you have the option to run each task individually as needed. You can do this automatically by setting a run frequency for the task or by starting the run manually. When you run an individual task, only that task runs. It does not cause any other tasks in the schedule to run.

Setting a run frequency for a task

Set a run frequently to automatically run your task. This doesn't run any other tasks in the schedule.

  1. From the Scheduler module → All schedules pane, click the schedule that contains the task you want to run.

  2. Click the More options menu (...) for the task you want to set a run frequency for and click Edit, or add a new task.

  3. Turn on the Add run toggle.

  4. Choose how often the task runs. Your options are every hour, day, week, month, or year.

  5. Select the time that you want the task to run. Your options vary depending on your selection from step 4. For example, if you select every hour, you need to choose which minute within that hour to run the task. If you select every year, you need to choose which month, day, and time to run the task.

  6. Click Save.

Running a task manually

Manually run the task as needed. This doesn't run any other tasks in the schedule.

  1. From the Scheduler module → All schedules pane, click the schedule that contains the task you want to run.

  2. Click the Run task icon Run icon for the task you want to run.

  3. On the confirmation dialog, click Run.
